  2. The Direct Marketing Association has defined sensitive marketing data as anything pertaining to children, health care or treatment, or the financial accounts of individuals. PMTA is committed to protecting consumer privacy and has added the age of children to our list of sensitive criteria. While we keep your mailing piece confidential, we will need to approve a copy of the actual mail piece you will be using (if you are using another service to create the piece rather than having PMTA create it for you). Marketing Tip: By eliminating language that shows you know or assume to know the sensitive information, you can streamline the approval process. For example, when marketing to consumers with children, instead of writing, "Your kids get 10% off their first month," write it to read, "10% off the first month."
