About PMTA

Connecting Students With Music Teachers Nationwide

The Professional Music Teachers Association (PMTA) is a network of music teachers who are committed to excellence in teaching and business. We are unique in the benefits we provide and specialize in helping teachers grow their studios through effective, targeted marketing strategies.

Not Your Ordinary Association

Teachers spend hours each day working diligently to bring out the talent of their students all the while trying to build a business that brings in substantial income. We know how challenging those tasks can be and created PMTA to help music studios thrive. PMTA is not a typical member organization. Our foremost priority is providing our members with business and marketing support to build a successful and thriving studio.

A common misconception is that we are affiliated with MTNA, the Music Teachers National Association. Although most of our teachers are MTNA members, PMTA is not affiliated with any other music association. The Professional Music Teachers Association specializes in providing teachers with business and marketing support needed to establish, build, and effectively grow their studios.
